11/13/2022 0 Comments Apthamitra kannada movieDirector įrom the year 1985, Dwarakish started directing movies his first movie as a director was Nee Bareda Kadambari. After Mayor Muthanna, Dwarakish gave a series of box office successes to Kannada cinema, one after the other for the next two decades. In 1969, his first independent production Mayor Muthanna starring Dr.Rajkumar and Bharathi in the lead roles was a box office success. In 1966, Dwarakish co- produced the movie Mamatheya Bandhana with 2 others under the banner of Thunga Pictures. In 1963, he decided to quit business and start acting in movies. He was strongly attracted to acting and often asked his maternal uncle, a famous cinema director Hunusur Krishnamurthy, to give him a chance to act in movies. After completing his education, Dwarakish and his brother started an automotive spare-parts business called "Bharath Auto Spares" in Gandhi Square, Mysore. He received his primary education in Sharada Vilas and Banumaiah's school, and he graduated from CPC Polytechnic with a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering. Gurukiran’s music and PKH Doss’ camera work complement the film that is a must watch.Dwarakish was born on 19 August 1942. There is hardly a scene that is out of place. P Vasu deserves all the praise for deft handling of the interesting plot he has conceived. But it is only Bhavana who gets to don the best designer blouses. Lakshmi Gopalaswamy, Sandhya and Bhavana are the suspense elements who help the film gain momentum towards an unexpected climax. He modulates his voice twice over and the result is exciting. The negative shades in the king’s role does not affect his charm any bit. Vishnuvardhan in a dual role and a very unlikely getup steals the show. But director Vasu has other aces up his sleeve which he unravels as the film progresses. The psychiatrist and the godman respect each other’s methods of solving the problem for a common good.Īptharakshaka also brings to life the story of Nagavalli and king Vijayaraja Bahadur which was mentioned in the first film. This time there is more than one woman affected by either Nagavalli’s ghost or psyched after reading about her life. Late kannada hero Vishnuvardhan and Avinash re-enact their respective roles. The story is a playoff between a psychiatrist and a godman who try to unravel the mystery of a long dead dancer’s effects on living souls. Those who have seen Apthamitra will realise that the sequel (and part prequel) is also similar in setting. But on its merit alone this film stands head and shoulders above most films made in the recent years in Sandlewood. It is hard to watch the film without realising that Vishnuvardhan is no more. It is well-thought out and executed for a commercial film with enough entertainment values any movie buff to enjoy. ACTORS: Vishnuvardhan, Avinash, Sandhya, Vimala Raman, Lakshmi Gopalaswamy, KomalĪptharakshaka is a worthy final kannada film for Vishnuvardhan.
